Kunqu Opera, as an ancient stage performance form, has been passed down from generation to generation. Kunqu opera artist Ke Jun has performed Kunqu opera for decades.
He is not satisfied with this, and tries to explore more possibilities of Kunqu opera through new performances. This book collects the texts, photos and dialogues of seven experimental dramas created by the artist's thinking and exploration of traditional Kunqu Opera. The performance tried to break away from the styles and rituals of traditional Chinese opera, and used the most simple and direct stage to present the contemporary thinking about the present and tradition.
The whole book presents a comfortable and quiet state through simple and soft paper. On the spine of the book, the title written by the contemporary calligrapher Xu Jing, presenting a warm and contemporary feel. The pressure line of the book jacket reveals the paper color of the lower layer, which is also trying to show the core of the whole book:through the surface to explore the inner essence and connection of culture.
