As a project funded by the national publishing fund in 2017, the book of letters of famous Ming dynasty scholars contains the calligraphy and letters of ancient Ming dynasty scholars rarely seen both in china and abroad, with a total of 266 people and 329 pieces, including four volumes of letters.
The poetry letters including poetry, letter, produce vouchers for worship the post analysis, political message, Military intelligence, Memorial. Content involves communication, literature, calligraphy and painting creation, publication, diet, and officialdom culture, large amount of area wide. Scholars’ personalities were hidden among the content. The real daily life in Ming dynasty was showed from the page, which is better than the preface-writer screening.
Such concentrated compilation of the lettering of famous scholars in Ming dynasty also fully shows the traditional culture of letters in China since Han and Wei dynasties, namely the way of writing and ritual, and highly restains the life and communication mode of traditional Chinese literati.

所收尺牍包括诗简、家书、拜帖、析产券、咨文、奏疏、军情塘报等文本，内容涉及交游、文学、书画创作、出版、饮食、官场文化等，面广量大，文人气息个性尽藏其中，真实的明代日常生活气息跃然纸上，胜于经筛选的诗文集。
如此集中选编明代名贤尺牍，也充分展现了自汉魏以来我国传统文化中的书信文化即书仪之道，高度还原了传统中国文人的生活和交往方式。
