The poster is for the "Built books - ten young book designers’ exhibition" organized by Eslite bookstore(Suzhou). The main idea come from chinese word “Bulit” which means construct, make and set up. So we use lots of books to build and the break the wall.

The motivation of “Built” is cooperation, which means the collaboration of every process such as editorial, design, paper, print and marketing when making books.The whole constructing of making books is as same as microcosmic architectural space. In this poster, lots of books are instead of bricks building a book skyscraper. The efforts of every book designers will gather together to break the boundary of information form and making a beautiful future of printing books.

誠品書店舉辦的《造書-青年書籍設計十人展》所設計的主題海報。
創意主體來源於造書的“造”,造字有營造,制作,搭建之意
古漢語“造”字有壹種寫法,意從“舟”部,聲從“告”,即“艁”。
借取上古以船為橋、並舟成梁的意義,
由此可見“造”的動力源自人與人之間為達到互通有無的目的,去突破自然界限的行為。

用於本次展覽實為凸顯出做書的過程中各環節間的配合。
在造書的過程中,
文本歷經編輯加工、設計物化、印制縫綴、發行銷售等諸多環節的保障,
就是要突破信息形態的界限,實現將作者的思想送達彼岸讀者的使命。
整個造書的過程實則為壹個綜合構架的過程,可等同於微觀的建築空間。
畫面中壹本本書的堆砌,也似磚的搭建,在空間中築造出壹座書籍大廈。
積少成多,
由量變到質變,
每壹位做書人的點滴努力最終將匯成奔流,
沖破障礙,為紙質書的未來創造美好空間。
